Can you call someone maniac if it isn’t even manic? Stray Kids has truly sunk below the darkest times. Maniac is lifeless as it is predictable, lousy and tragic. The commodification of music in late-stage capitalism has accelerated the degradation of quality as it stands. We are hearing the stage of a rising genre where ciphers are common and half-baked melodies are habitual. I am just extremely in a point where I’d rather praise O.O than to listen to another reshash of the same thing in a different arrangement.

I would say Maniac has a not bad chorus, it stays where you’d what a song to settle. A hook that is very good for trendy 20 second TikToks. I am just tired of hearing this over and over again. JYP’s musical style has really broken in a delivish entropy. The verses are forgettable and I cannot remember a single thing about this except Maniac being repeated for 21986487246178461984619846 times. The bridge is the better part of this vacuum. I could feel it building to something elegant and flowering, however, the second after that is just the chorus which we’ve heard over and over. I’m just tired listening this.

Overall

I think this song is not for me. It’s basic and mediocre.
